Streamlining Auto-Generated Notes with Smart Summarization

🏝 Roadmap

To improve clarity and reduce documentation clutter, Curenta will automatically combine and summarize system-generated notes that meet the following conditions:

  • Same user

  • Same note type (e.g., Med Pass, ADL, Vitals)

  • Within the same shift/day (based on facility-defined shifts)

🔁 What This Means:

Instead of multiple fragmented entries, Curenta will consolidate them into a clean, structured summary. For example:

Before:

  • "8 AM - Administered Lisinopril..."

  • "12 PM - Administered Metformin..."

  • "6 PM - Resident was agitated..."

After:

  • "During today's shift, Resident A received all scheduled medications. At 8 AM... At 12 PM... At 6 PM..."

🧠 How It Works:

  • System checks for matching entries by user, shift, and type.

  • Matching notes are merged into one evolving summary note.

  • New entries update the existing summary instead of creating duplicates.

Key Benefits:

  • Cleaner Progress Notes & Med Pass logs

  • Easier reviews during handoffs

  • Less scrolling, more insight

📍 Where to Find:

  • Summarized notes appear in the [Notes] section under Progress Notes.

💡 Coming Soon:

  • AI-driven smart summaries highlighting trends and concerns

  • Configurable options to enable/disable by note type

  • Mid-shift summaries for faster reviews
