Custom Shift Settings – Facility-Level Shift Control

A major step toward smarter scheduling, tailored workflows, and eventually, full staff scheduling capabilities.

📋 What’s New:

Shift Settings in Facility Configuration:
Facility admins can now define and manage their own standard shift structures directly from the Curenta platform.

🛠️ Key Features:

  • Add, edit, or delete custom shift blocks

  • Define each shift’s:

    • Name (e.g., Morning, Evening, NOC)

    • Start Time

    • End Time

  • Support for 3-shift models and custom schedules

  • Shift times can overlap

  • Historical notes retain original shift tags, even if shifts change

🗂️ Example Setup:

  • Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

  • Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • NOC Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

🔒 Access Control:

  • Only users with appropriate roles (e.g., LTC Admins, Nurses) can manage Shift Settings.

🧠 Why This Matters:

  • Aligns task visibility, note summaries, and responsibilities with actual staff coverage

  • Enables custom operational models across facilities

  • Lays the foundation for Curenta’s future Staff Scheduler module
